WELCOME TO THE BREAST CANCER PATIENT NAVIGATOR PROGRAM JIBONER SATHI
EMPOWERING SURVIVORS. supporting fighters. TRANSForming OUTCOMES.
Breast cancer is the most common cancer among women in India — yet the survival rate remains below 65%, especially in rural areas. Many women face delays in diagnosis, confusion during treatment, emotional stress, and financial barriers. We are here to change that.

WHAT IS THE PATIENT NAVIGATOR PROGRAM?
The Patient Navigator Program is a survivor-led initiative designed to guide and support breast cancer patients throughout their treatment journey. Our navigators are cured breast cancer survivors who have walked this path and now volunteer to help others find clarity, courage, and continuity in care.

WHY IT MATTERS

Delays in treatment
can cost lives

Lack of awareness leads
to fear and dropout.

Emotional and logistical
barriers often go unaddressed.
Our navigators fill these gaps — offering human connection, clarity, and consistent support to every woman fighting breast cancer.
HOW IT WORKS
Our model follows 5-phase structure

Recruitment
We onboard survivor volunteers committed to helping others.

Training
A 4-week curriculum equips them with knowledge on cancer care, communication, and emotional support.

Consolidation
Navigators are assessed through simulations before handling real cases.

Support
Navigators are paired with patients across hospitals and communicate via dedicated WhatsApp groups including the patient, caregiver, and medical team.

Remuneration & Sustainability
Through our “Nirnay Mitra – Adopt a Cancer Patient” initiative, community donations fund navigator support — creating a self-sustaining ecosystem.
OUR IMPACT
Early results show
